Description
One of the top producers from Friuli and one of the most famous makers of Italian white is undoubtedly Silvio Jermann. The Jermann family domain is located in the extreme northeast of Italy in the hilly region of Friuli, near the Slovenian border, in the DOC Collio, and dates back to 1881. Since Silvio, the third generation, took the helm in 1975, there has been an enormous rotation has taken place. By continuously investing and making optimal use of the sandy and marl-containing soil so suitable for the white grape varieties, he expressed his urge to innovate, with fantastic results as a result. This made him a worldwide phenomenon. Elegance, depth, richness, structure and minerality characterize wines, which are served in many starred restaurants worldwide.
The Jermann Sauvignon blanc is made for 100% from the grape that is doing so great in Friuli Venezia Giulia. After the harvest, the wine matures for about six months 'sur lie' in stainless steel tanks. After several months of aging in the bottle, the wine is ready to hit the market. The Jermann Sauvignon Blanc has a straw yellow color in the glass with green highlights. In the nose, the wine is intense, persistent and fruity with a pleasant hint of elderflower. The taste is full and dry, elegant and balanced. Delicious with seafood, risotto with seafood, lobster, white fish.
