Description
The Kellerei Cantina Terla (Terlana) Pinot Grigio is a 100% Pinot Grigio (Pinot Gris) from the Alto Adige. Manual harvest and selection of the grapes; gentle pressing and clarification of the juice; slow fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, aging on the lees in steel tanks for 5-7 months.
The Terlan Pinot Grigio has an intense straw yellow scent. The nose shows fruit notes of pear, lychee and white melon - with the floral aromatic character of a newly mown meadow. On the palate the wine is balanced with aromas of black tea to exotic fruity nuances of melon and ripe grapefruit - this is an excellent full-bodied and at the same time soft wine. Ideal with hors d'oeuvres such as smoked bacon, aged meats such as Bündnerfleisch or venison sausage, and their typical Italian counterparts such as Parma ham, dried tomatoes and olive pâté; herb risotto, nettle gnocchi or beet dumplings, veal and finely grilled fish.
