The vineyards for this Argentinian white wine can be found at an altitude of 1250 meters in the wine district of Tupungato. The Chardonnay grapes grow in peace between the slopes of the Andes mountains. At this altitude, the grapes receive sufficient warmth from the sun, but also a pleasant freshness that ensures that the grapes do not ripen too quickly. The meltwater from the snow-capped mountain peaks creates natural and pure irrigation for the vines. The harvest for these Chardonnay grapes is done entirely by hand and takes place in the first week of March. This manual harvest involves a strict selection so that only the best fruit ends up in the wine. For the maturation of the wine, this delicious Chardonnay is allowed to mature in French oak barrels for a period of 8 months. This maturation ensures the full and beautiful creamy character.

The Terrazas de Los Andes Chardonnay is a wood-aged Chardonnay. In the glass we immediately see the beautiful straw yellow color with a beautiful golden sparkle. The scent contains aromas of peach, pineapple, orange blossom and a hint of vanilla. The mild greasy layer provides a pleasant and full experience. The rich taste nuances of tropical fruit, with peach and passion fruit at the forefront, are pleasantly balanced by a light hint of citrus and vanilla.

Terrazas de los Andes itself is deeply rooted in its original environment, from the land on which the grapes grow to the local community we are a part of. Preserving the delicate ecological balance of nature and contributing to the well-being of the people is a key priority for the House. We are actively looking for alternative methods and techniques to conserve soil, biodiversity and natural resources. Water is scarce in the Mendoza region.
