Description
The Chateau Changyu Moser With an acidity of 5.4 g/l, this is a Bordeaux and its approach to "la frecheur". The wine is made by Lenz M. Moser - the head winemaker Chateau Changyu Moser XV who spends the entire harvest period in Ningxia. The wine is also bottled Mise en bouteille au château / Estate Bottled. Only 6,300 bottles of this truly special and ultra rare wine were made. The wine is aged in barriques in the castle's barrel cellar for 24 months. Partly on new French oak and partly 2nd and 3rd year.
The wine is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon with beautiful floral aromas in the nose with complex notes of red and dark berries, with savory hints of cedar, tobacco and a warm touch of vanilla through a subtle wood treatment - all in perfect harmony, with a built-in ' feel good' factor. In the mouth lush, generous and with a wonderful freshness. A top wine from Ningxia with a focus on elegance and finesse. The wine is very balanced and has intensity and complexity without being overbearing or overwhelming.
In a blind tasting with FINANCIAL TIMES & JANCIS ROBINSON - JUNE 2023 - the Purple Air came in number 2 and only Lafite Rotschild came higher, but the wine did come higher than the Ao Yun, Ch Léoville Las Cases, Ch Pontet-Canet, Ch Figeac 2 and Opus One 2019 Napa Valley

The lineup included such world-renowned names as Opus One and Lafite-Rothschild" Jancis Robinson was particularly enamored with our wine stating: "But the first vintage of it, PACE 2016, was excellent — I even thought it might be Figeac, one of my favorite red Bordeaux, until I tasted the real thing further along the line-up."
