The story of two families in three centuries. For almost two hundred years, W & J Graham's has been an independent family business known for producing the best Port wines. Graham's has always been a pioneer. Graham's was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal's Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the forefront of innovation in winemaking techniques. Today, five of Symington's cousins share responsibility for every aspect of the business and personally make Graham's wines. They too have been involved in Port and the Douro for generations, with ancestors dating back to the mid-17th century.

Graham's is located in Vila Nova de Gaia across the Douro River, opposite Porto. Port may only be made from grapes from the Douro Valley. The Douro is located in Northern Portugal. Graham's Port mainly comes from their own Quinta dos Malvedos near Tua and Quinta das Lages in the Rio Torto. These vineyards in the Douro Valley provide Graham's with the best quality grapes. After traditional vinification, the Port is matured in large wooden barrels of 534 liters, which gives the Port its characteristic Tawny character.

Aged for an average of 10 years in used oak barrels, this wine is a beautiful expression of tawny port - the perfect pairing with sweet pastries such as apple pie with cinnamon. On the nose it shows complex nutty aromas combined with hints of honey and figs. On the palate, rich ripe fruit flavors, beautifully softened with a lush long finish. Should be enjoyed slightly chilled. Once opened, consume within 8 weeks.

93 points - James Suckling: "A very pretty wood port with cherry, berry, walnut and chocolate aromas and flavors. It's full-bodied and very sweet with focus, density and length. Fruity, yet pleasantly earthy."
