Description
Made from the local grape varieties such as malvasia fina, gouveio, rabigato and códega Vinification: 60% of the wine ages in old wooden barrels, 40% of the wine in stainless steel. This white port has a straw yellow color. The wine hangs on the glass. The scent is aromatic and reminiscent of nutmeg and dried white raisins. The taste is very soft, warm, haunting, with a soft, sweet final, in which impressions of chestnut wood and dried fruits stay pleasantly close.
Delicious as an aperitif. The port can be served at room temperature, but cooled, possibly with ice cubes, is also delicious.

Quinta do Noval is located in the north of Portugal and is located in the Douro Valley. A breathtaking area due to the untouched nature. The vineyards are situated on steep slopes near the Douro River. Quinta do Noval has been producing port of remarkably good quality since the early 1700s. The port and winery has a large cellar carved in the mountains where the vineyards are also located. In this cellar, the port is aged in a barrel. The port is also bottled and shipped from this region. Under the inspiring leadership of its current owner, Christian Seely, a number of years ago were invested heavily in a new winery and an intensive vine replanting program. This allowed new developments to be combined with the old traditions that made Noval great. Quinta do Noval is well known for the Nacional Vintage port which is the rarest and most sought after port in the world. Only the very best grapes from only the very best vintages are processed here. The grapes are even walked barefoot by a group of people to the rhythm of music, in large fermentation tanks, the lagares. Naturally, the other port wines are also of excellent quality and therefore also worthy of the Quinta do Noval label. A number of excellent red wines have also been produced since 2004.
